Mainers have many great stories to share. Here at Anania Media/Maine Icons, we’ve been fortunate to be able to share the stories of dozens of business and community leaders over the past three and a half years. We’ve learned about companies large and small, about successes and challenges, about company origins, and goals for the future. We’ve heard time and again what a special place Maine is for living and working. There’s simply nowhere quite like it.
We love telling these stories, and helping spread the word about why Maine is such a wonderful place to build a career, start a company and get involved in the community.
But at this point in time we need to take a hiatus.
Why? Well, quite honestly the Anania Media/Maine Icons team is experiencing firsthand just how many opportunities exist for business growth in Maine, and we need to turn our attention to other projects for the time being.
This won’t be the end of Maine Icons, though. There are simply too many good stories out there, and we hope to return to sharing them at some point in the near future.
In the meantime, if you’ve missed any of our profiles, have no fear – the archive of Maine Icons stories will remain available on our website. You can also visit the Maine Icons Facebook page to find links to profiles and other news items about those we’ve featured as Icons.
We’re grateful to all those we’ve profiled for taking the time out of their busy schedules to be interviewed and photographed, and for sharing their thoughts about entrepreneurship and success and helping to inspire others through their stories.
Thank you for your support as readers over these past few years. We look forward to bringing you new stories in the future!
